1.1. The Contract
1.1.1 The terms of these terms and conditions constitute a legally binding contract (“the Contract”) between you, the client, and Fat Hen
1.2 The Course
1.2.1 All events should be attended on a punctual basis unless prevented by occurrences which are beyond your reasonable control.
1.2.2 You must comply with all rules and regulations issued by Fat Hen from time to time.
1.2.3 Fat Hen reserves the right to make changes to the advertised tutors and programme as necessary.
1.2.4 The course fee includes all tuition and meals.
1.2.5 Unless we have been notified explicitly of any dietary, or other requirements at the time of booking and have agreed to them, we cannot guarantee that they will be met.
1.3 Fees, Refunds and Client Cancellation
1.3.1 To book your place full payment is required. For weekend courses a deposit can be arranged with the bookings administrator if desired. Please contact us directly by email.
1.3.2 Cancellation of the event by you:
• Less than one week before the event – no refund or transfer
• More than one week but less than four weeks before the event – If possible the places/event will be released for sale and if re-sold Fat Hen will issue vouchers or a transfer to another course or event of the same value. An administration fee of £25 will be charged.
• More than 4 weeks notice – Fat Hen will transfer you to another course/event of the same value at no extra charge or at Fat Hen’s discretion offer gift vouchers.
1.3.3 Friends or family are able to attend in your place providing Fat Hen has had details 24hours before the event begins. We can only cater for a change in dietary requirements with a minimum of 48 hours notice.
1.3.4 In the event of illness, Fat Hen will require documentary evidence, in order to decide, at its discretion where it can be flexible with the cancellation policy.
1.3.5 Tickets bought as gifts carry the same cancellation policy.
1.4 Cancellation of a course by Fat Hen
1.4.1 Course cancellations are rare, but if Fat Hen has to cancel a course, all fees paid will be refunded (unless you choose to be transferred onto another course), but no liability can be accepted for any consequential losses you might incur.
1.4.2 Any travel, accommodation or other arrangements, made for your participation on the course are entirely made at your own risk.
1.4.3 You are advised to insure yourself against any losses due to either you having to cancel your place, or the course being cancelled.
1.5 Gift Vouchers
1.5.1 Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months and will not be accepted beyond the expiry date unless the course date you wish to book is postponed or cancelled or there are special circumstances preventing you from using the voucher. They will be decided on a case by case basis at the discretion of Fat Hen.
1.5.2 Refunds are not available for gift vouchers but they can be transferred to any course or event or to another person.
1.5.3 Once a booking has been made with a gift voucher the terms 1.2 – 1.4 above apply.
1.6.1 You are advised not to bring any items of special value onto Fat Hen’s premises. Fat Hen will not accept responsibility for the loss of any personal possessions.
1.6.2 Fat Hen will not be liable for any loss suffered by you resulting from any event which is beyond the reasonable control of Fat Hen.
1.7.1 No failure or delay by Fat Hen in enforcing any of its rights under the Contract shall be deemed to be a waiver of such right.
1.7.2 The Contract shall be governed by English law.
1.8 Intellectual Property Rights
Nothing in this agreement permits the client to use the names ‘Fat Hen’ or ‘Caroline Davey’ in any way or upon or in any advertisements, media, TV, film, social media, radio, cd or internet or to film or record any program upon our premises without the permission of Caroline Davey.
